What inspires me

Filed under: polymer clay — by jencom @ 5:14 pm

After I became more or less addicted to polymer clay I get ideas for beads everywhere. I remember reading stories for my daughter and finding skinner-blends in the colored pictures of a sunset or a sunrise. I wrote every idea down on a post-it and when I had the time I sat down to clay and try to make my ideas into beads. Lately what has got my muse started has been balls of yarn. Here are some examples of what I made from yarn-inspiration.  All beads are made with Mokume Gane-technique. You can find a tutorial at Desiree´s Desired Creations. Not all colors came out exactely as I pictured them in my head. That is the beauty of creating with PC – it has a will of it’s own too. You can tweak it a bit but somedays it takes you a completely different way than you thought when you started.
